Today I'm sharing my 1909 Singer 66K hand crank sewing machine with Lotus decals. I picked this machine up in the beginning 2023 just east of Columbus, OH. In general, for some reason the lotus decals never seem to hold up well so when I saw this one in nice shape I decided to purchase it. One interesting feature of this machine is it's low mounted bobbin winder....as opposed to having the bobbin winder attached high on the belt guard. As you can see from the pictures below, this machine has not been through my cleaning process......maybe one day. Enjoy the pictures!
Your decals are much better than mine, as is your case/base. Mine came with a friction motor (with cords cut and no foot pedal) and I turned it into a hand crank. It is my 'demo' machine when I have a booth somewhere. Everyone wants to try out a hand crank (I don't sell, I just show off machines I've rescued and collected).
ReplyDeleteWas the friction motor a Singer branded Hamilton Beach motor?
